The development of the medium density fiberboard is the fastest in the wood-based panel industry, and its advantages are lightweight and high strengths close in structure、uniform texture、surface finish、not easy to cause deformation and so on. In the process of MDF production, the amount of the glue account about one-third of the cost of production, glue applying is an important working procedure, since the quality and production cost of MDF are all influenced by it greatly. The task of applying glue is to apply glue to fiber according to the changes of the amount of input fiber with a reasonable ratio of glue, and also should keep a accurate proportion and high dynamic balance.In the actual industrial production process, medium density fiberboard (MDF) glue system is a typical nonlinear controlled object with characteristics of time-dependent nature and coupling, coupled typical nonlinear controlled object. It is unable to use accurate mathematical model to describe this system. Furthermore, the conventional linear system control method is also very difficult to achieve the precise control of the amount of sizing.In the specific analysis and studies on the basis of medium density fiberboard sizing process and control methods, the fuzzy neural network control is proposed. Then, according to the operating principle of sizing system, and establish a medium fiberboard glue applying system based on fuzzy neural network, and use BP algorithm to optimize the parameters of fuzzy neural network online, it can make the glue applying system reach the dynamic constant supplying glue purpose, also it can overcome the difficulties of establishing a precise mathematical model.Finally, for the effect of the fuzzy neural network control method, the simulation is done by Matlab\Simulink, and compared the results with the fuzzy PID control and traditional PID control methods; simulation results show that it has better control performance of the system than PID controller, in addition compared with the fuzzy PID control system, the fuzzy neural network control system has stronger ability of anti-noise, faster speed of response, and it can achieve a better control effect.
