The characteristic of acid multi-metal smelting wastewater is the heavyconcentration, more acidity and complex component. It will increase the difficulty ofwastewater treatment when it make into chelate formation of the refractory organicsand heavy metal. It will cause serious harm to the environment once into theecosystem. Conventional treatment method is mainly study the treatment of heavymetal wastewater, it paid little attention to the treatment of wastewater containingheavy metal ions and refractory organics. Presently, there is no good treatmenttechnology can effectively deal with the wastewater. On the basis of the biologicalmethod, this study adopts the combination of magnetic field and anaerobic organism,and build the magnetic-anaerobic biological filter bed, acid multi-metal smeltingwastewater as treatment object, studying operation parameters of the treatment ofwastewater by magnetic-anaerobic biological system through batch experiments;Building a reactor on the site test it volume is2.7L, and carrying out the pilot; At thesame time, the analysis device of GC/MS, scanning electron microscope (SEM) andFourier infrared (FTIR) to make clear of the reaction mechanism. The conclusions arelisted below:(1) The optimal operating conditions of magnetic-anaerobic biological filter bedto treat acid multi-metal smelting wastewater are as follows: the temperature is35±1℃, pH value is7, hydraulic retention time is24h, and the additive quantity ofmagnetic carrier is6g/L. Under this condition, the removel rate of COD,F-and Cd2+can reach60%,70%and90%respectively. Compared with anaerobic biologicalsystem of not adding magnetic carrier, the removal rate of COD, F-and Cd2+canincrease by7.84%、7.37%and1.32%, respectively.(2) The pilot analysis shows: at the temperature35±1℃, pH value is7,hydraulic retention time is24h, the additive quantity of magnetic carrier is6g/L.when the initial concentration of COD,F-, Cd2+, As3+and Zn2+are more than971.52mg/L,12.07mg/L,4.11mg/L. The removel rate of COD and Cd2+can reach50%and90%, the concentration of effluent F-can reach industrial wastewater dischargestandard of national level.(3) The pilot also have a very good removal effect to other metal ions. Whenthe internal concentration of As3+and Zn2+are more than0.57mg/L and5.05mg/L, the effluent concentration can reach industrial wastewater discharge standard ofnational level.(4) The analysis by GC/MS shows that acid multi-metal smelting wastewatercontaining the difficult degradable aromatic organic compounds, for instance,triphenylphosphine, triphenyl phosphine oxide, and triphenyl phosphine sulfide etc. Itcan be remove through magnetic-anaerobic biological filter bed. There is only a smallamount of triphenyl phosphine oxide and triphenyl phosphine sulfide are not beingfully biodegradable. This means that magnetic-anaerobic biological system caneffectively remove the organics.(5) SEM analysis on the anaerobic microbes was carried out,weak magneticfield can stimulate the growth of anaerobic microorganisms, bacteria species on thesurface of the change of granular sludge, after magnetic field effect of anaerobicmicroorganisms is given priority to with bacillus.
