Flotation Column flotation devices as a new easy to operate, low unit energyconsumption, the advantages of the device does not require shaving foam, bubble generatorand mechanical agitation devices, in recent years, especially for the separation of finematerial effect significantly, in the field of mineral sewage and flotation treatment havebeen used intensively.This paper aims to design filled flotation column to determine the operatingconditions of amplification and provide a quantitative basis and theoretical tools. In thisstudy, specification Φ104×1500mm, inside filled with the350Y-type flotation columnfilled with structured packing, Based on previous Flotation Technology Institute was theconclusion of the flotation column filled with air trapping zone with a three-phase systemrate discussed experimental and theoretical study of the mechanism.In the specific experiment, using a method to capture district level rises gas holdup inthree-phase systems were measured. For each of the characteristics of differentexperiments, examining the superficial gas velocity and pulp density of two factors on theflotation column trapping zone gas holdup.Test method is established for structured packing flotation column dynamics. The pulpcirculates at a certain flow rate between the flotation column and the stirred tank tosimulate the bubble in column trapping zone countercurrent contact with the slurry, usingnonlinear optimal parameter estimation method to simulate and analyze the five kinds ofprimary flotation kinetics model. The relative error of the experimental values and themodel values are analyzed. Primary flotation kinetic is considered more suitable forstructured packing column flotation; the relative error is5.28%.[1e kt]For the experiment in low grade phosphate rock, k values ranging0.0453-0.1431min-1.This Master’s thesis also associates the flotation kinetics diffusion with the gas holdupand obtain that the correlation coefficient can be concluded by the following functionexpression:K18g sin22arcta n exp1.760.26exp(92103(2g0.063)) Combined flotation kinetics experiments and previous studies by our group to optimizethe column flotation process. Research shows that in the original experiment, based onincreased flotation tailings return system can improve performance.
