Various metals are used in recirculating coolant passage of the heavy duty engine, and in high temperature, these metals are very easy be corrosible. The corrosion and scale inhibitor is a kind of additive that used to inhibit or stop corrosion in corrosive environment. A little of corrosion and scale inhibitor is good for reducing the corrosion speed. Little influence with the essemtiality of the metal, and need no additive equipment. The study on application of corrosion and scale inhibitor indicated that a lot of high efficient inhibitor creates a steady protected film on the surface of the metal and then inhibit corrosion efficiently.In this study, we synthesized a kind of corrosion and scale inhibitor used in recirculating coolant passage of the heavy duty engine, in order to solve the corrosion problem in recirculating coolant passage of the heavy duty engine, especially the problem of spot corrosion on the hardware made of casting aluminum, the problem of rust and begrime on the hardware made of iron or steel. We upgrated and predigested the variety of the corrosion and scale inhibitor used in recirculating coolant passage of the heavy duty engine. In this study, the testing method of the corrosion and scale inhibitor used in recirculating coolant passage of the heavy duty engine was anlysed. Imidazolinyl-ammonium-salt synthesized from oleic acid and diethylenetriamine was modified to form a water soluble corrosion inhibitor, HH-1, and then HH-1was mixed with thiourea and hexamethylene tetraamine forming a complex corrosion inhibited system, HH-2. Static strip weight-loss method, and sacanning electron miscroscope were used to investigate the inhibition performance of HH-2, as well as the machnism of corrosion inhibition and the morphologies of A3steel, brass and aluminium surface before and after corroding by amidogen sulfonic acid. Results showed that HH-2complex system could effectively suppress the corrosion of A3steel, brass and aluminium in amidogen sulfonic acid corrosion system at55℃. The efficiency of corrosion inhibition reached98.48%at an HH-2dosage of30mg·L-1, and the corrosion rate was only0.0093mm·a-1, no spot corrosion.In this study, complex corrosion inhibited system theoretics was analysed, with a view to all kinds factors in use, the mechanism of inhibiting crossion and scale was studied, by the problem of the crossion and scale inhibitor in using, with principle of green chemistry and price factors, we select the type and dosage of the additives comply to HH-2, compsed a new series complex corrosion inhibited system HH-3.We estimated the particular performance of the series of complex corrosion inhibited system HH-3, and find HH-3-6is the best. Use HH-3-6in practicality test, results showed that HH-3-6complex system could effectively suppress the corrosion of solder, cast aluminium, cast iron, steel, brass and copper. So HH-3-6is a new highly effective corrosion and scale inhibitor. Besides that, HH-3-6is more economic and environment-friendly.
