In order to satisfy the requirements of processing quality and efficiency of the spoolused in the high-pressure common rail fuel system’s oil pump, which is designed by acertain fuel injection company limited. UMAC is studied deeply in the application of theprecision laser cutting in CNC machine. And then, the prototype is completely developedin collaboration with the cooperation unit, and the anticipated target is also achieved.Firstly, the building method of the virtual platform for CNC system is proposed. ThePuls+Dir signal generated by the axis channel is mapped to the address of thecorresponding axis channel’s encoder conversion table, and the axis channel’s virtualclosed-loop is formed in the servo IC. Then the validity of virtual CNC system platformwas verified by the multi-axis NC program function testing.Secondly, considering the operation mechanism and the function of the soft PLCprogram, the design method of the soft PLC program is researched. Then the basicprinciples about the function module partition and the program structure design are putforward. Meanwhile, the key problems in the process of laser cutting such as the energycontrol of the laser cutting and switching the work status of the Z axis are studied.Thirdly, considering the problem which the processing platform is violent shakingwhen the hand wheel function of the axis driven by a linear motor is realized by theposition following way,a hand wheel function method used for the axis driven by a linearmotor is proposed. This method added the results that the hand wheel pulse increment in acertain time span multiplied by hand wheel ratio to the manual shift register of servo axischannel, and then uses the manual command to control the following motor movement.The experiments show that this method can significantly improve the movementsmoothness of following motor and the positioning accuracy of the hand wheel.Lastly, the precision compensation technology of UMAC is researched. Combiningwith the PC software, the model machine is compensated. The measuring result shows thatthe positioning precision of the CNC machine is improved effectively after compensatingand reaches the requirements of positioning accuracy. The performance and functionalityof the precision laser cutting CNC machine has been proved by the laser cutting experiment on the spool.
