Technology Research And Process Optimization On Microsuspended Paste Resin

The microsuspended paste resin production line with capacity of60000tons/yearin Tianjin Botian chemical co., LTD was built in December2010, and succeeded tostart the production and the qualified products were obtained. After the project putinto production, total productive capacity of paste resin of the company is170000tons/year. Then the company ranked first in Asia with the largest production scale, themost complete production line and the most varieties.The project was developed by ourselves, which existed many problems such asunoptimzed formula and process design flaws. The problems appeared gradually atthe beginning of the production, which led to heavy work, low product yield, poorproduct quality and low market recognition, etc. In order to reverse the passivesituation, our company carried out many experiments which include many aspectssuch as formula adjustment and process modification. After the concerted efforts, theproduction has reached the design capacity and product quality improved steadily.Now our products had gradually occupied the market and had created great economicbenefits.The main properties of PVC paste resin and its processing application wereintroduced comprehensively this paper. The production status, the research situationand the development prospect of paste resin production were summarized at home andabroad. The principle and process of the microsuspended paste resin production wereintroduced. The problems encountered in the initial stage of production weresummarized and the research direction is determined. In order to meet user’srequirements, the formula and processed of microsuspension polymerization wereresearched and optimized constantly, and Quality Supervision and Inspection Centerwas also established. Raw materials, intermediate products and final products can betested in this center. Through production experiments, the basic formula and theapplication law of additives of the special paste resin were studied. The effects of theinitiator system, emulsion system and viscosity reduction system on the reaction andthe product quality were studied. The influences of kettle anti-sticking agent, chainextender, after mixing additives and drying conditions on the quality of products werealso studied. And the production process was optimized according to the actualproduction situation. A set of evaluation system of processing and application wasestablished according to the demands of different product applications. Theinnovations and the future research direction were summarized finally.Special series of products such as gloves paste resin are also developed by theproject implementation. It filled the domestic blank of paste resin in the part of theusers, improved the market competitiveness of our company, ascense the overalltechnical level of the industry. It has created great economic and social benefits.
