Brewery wastewater contains high concentration of organic pollutants, whichshould be discharged after series treatment processes. Due to development of societyand economic, production of brewery increased significantly recent years. How toreduce the pollutants to natural water was the key for the development of the industry. Abrewery wastewater treatment plant of HuaRun adopted advanced "anaerobic-aerobic"process, the effluent of wastewater meet "the discharge standards for the beerindustry"(GB19821-2005)."Anaerobic-aerobic " process was used for brewery wastewater treatment. Basedon the results in laboratory scale, the design of real brewery wastewater treatment wasconducted. The effluent meet the discharge standard of China (GB19821-2005).Totalcost of the project is8790000yuan, the equivalent tons of water treatment cost is1.31yuan. The COD removal rate was more than98%, annual reduction of organic pollutantemissions was2246.4tons, which showed significantly environmental and socialbenefits.
