The Wuqi-Yanlian crude oil pipeline of No.4Oil Transportation,the subsidiary ofYanchang Petroleum (Group) Pipeline Transportation Company, has many insertion points,great-change pipeline throughput, and extremely complicated operation and management. Inrecent years, with the changes of output of oil production plant and adjustments of productionand operation, the oil property and pipeline throughput have changed a lot. Some even haveexceeded the range of the minimum and maximum design throughput. Moreover, due to notmany production and operation schemes of pipelines and lacking of reference indexes of thesafe operation temperature in low-throughput pipelines, it is unable to meet the needs ofactual production and it is easy to result in an enormous waste of heat energy. By adding pourpoint depressant, crude oil in pipeline transportation can solve the problem of low throughputin waxy crude oil transportation. The method is easy to operate and environment-friendly andenergy-saving. But the pour point depressant has strong selectivity to crude oil, and aftermodification, the rheological property of crude oil is greatly influenced by repeated heating,high-speed shearing, etc..Therefore, in order to solve the problems of low-throughput operation of Wuyan CrudeOil Pipeline and study to make safe and economical operation schemes, this thesis determinesthe physical property and rheological property of Wuyan crude oil by test, selects the optimalpour point depressant in every section of Wuyan Pipeline and confirms the additiveconditions, studies the rheological property of Wuyan crude oil before and after addingadditives from macro and micro perspectives, and explores the internal and external factorsaffecting pour point depressant and gets the overall heat-transfer coefficient and equivalentpipe diameter of every pipeline in different months by theoretical calculation. Besides, itsimulates the operation conditions with additivated pipeline by using dynamic simulationsoftware and modifies a new optimal operation scheme by economic calculation. It not onlyprovides necessary basic experimental parameters for pipeline design and transportation technology, but also improves the production and operation schemes of Wuyan Pipeline,which provides scientific basis for the safe and economical operation of crude oil pipeline.
