The inorganic-organic hybrid vanadates materials have attracted widespread attentionbecause of their unique structural diversity, excellent physical chemical properties andpotential applications. Three novel inorganic-organic hybrid vanadates are prepared byusing different imidazole ligands and POVs precursors under hydrothermal conditions, andcharacterized by single crystal X–ray diffraction. Some factors determined the experimentalresults, such as the reactant molar ratio, ligands, reaction temperature and the reaction time. The structure of these compounds has been further characterized by IR, XRD, XPS,thermogravimetric analysis, UV/Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, magnetic propertiesanalysis and degradation effect analysis. In this paper, there are three main parts:1. The recent development of synthesis method, structural components, structuralcharacterization and application of inorganic-organic hybrid vanadium polyoxometalate arereviewed in this paper.2.Three novel inorganic-organic hybrid vanadates [Co2(mIM)5(H2O)2]V4O12(1),[Ni2(mIM)7(H2O)]V4O12·H2O (2) and [Cd(eIM)2(H2O)]V2O6(3)(mIM=1-methylimidazole,eIM=1-ethylimidazole) with different dimensions were prepared by feasible hydrothermalsynthetic approach. All of these compounds were fully characterized by single crystalX–ray diffraction, IR, XRD, XPS, thermogravimetric analysis, UV-Vis and magneticproperties analysis. Compound1exhibits an interesting3D chiral framework which wasprepared without any chiral source species, The solid-state CD spectrum of1shows strongcotton effects between200-375nm and confirms the chiral characteristics of compound1.Compound2shows an interesting2D folded structure and compound3presentsladder-shaped1D chain configuration.3. The experiment results were determined by reactant molar ratio, ligands, reactiontemperature, reaction time and some other factors.
