As more attention has been paid to pollution prevention and management for airquality, it is particularly important to be aware of the specific data of pollutionsituation at present. There becomes an urgent demand for PM2.5detection due to thegreatly rising amount of PM2.5.In this paper, continuous online monitoring systembased on Beta-ray Attenuation Method in the PM2.5detection is introduced, andseveral related issues are explored based on the current studies.First, the principle of sample separation technology of Very Sharp CycloneSeparator based on fluid dynamics is introduced, and gas-particle flows model isapplied to simulate the real flow, which leads to some figures describing velocitydistribution, pressure distribution and statistical result about particle track. By analysisof the simulation results about how flow quantity affects separation performance,concluding that the flow should be maintained at16L/min under the generalcondition.Meanwhile, this paper explains β ray detection law, the normal distribution thatmeasured data follows and variable correlation analysis method. Then experimentalsetup is introduced with real product map, describing the operation procedures and itskey components.Moreover, data from real-time monitoring experimental system is processed,referring to relevant analysis based on30groups of paired data from "weighingmethod-β ray method", which leads to no significant difference between these twomethods. In addition, linear regression is carried with a correction equation in order toget more accurate data. As evaluation, there is data comparison separately collectedfrom the experimental system and three monitoring stations belonged toEnvironmental Protection Bureau, concluding that the experimental data has a similartend with that from HuaYuan station. The above research on two aspects of separationand detection lay the foundation of the accuracy and stability of PM2.5continuousonline monitoring system based on beta-ray method in the external environment.
