100,000t/a polypropylene production plant of Dagang Petrochemical Company had been completionand successfully put into operation. In this paper, it was discussed that the additives, catalyst andtechnological parameters on the effect of propylene polymerization in a actual production process, in orderto provide a reference for high quality production on similar device.Triethylaluminum (TEAL) was activator in propene polymerzation reaction. It always workedtogether with catalyst during the pre-polymerization process to form the activity center. In this research, theimported and domestic TEAL were compared in more details. There were no significant difference on thetype and content of alkyl aluminum species, as well as the unit consumption of propylene, catalyst orelectronic donor. Additionally, the quality of the product also satisfied the industry standard. It is concludedthat the domestic TEAL can replace imported products. Electron donor is antistatic agent for propylenepolymerization. In a catalyst system, it is named Lewis base and responsible for providing the lone pair ofelectrons. Its main effect is adjusting the isotacticity of polymerization product. Different spatialcharacteristics, chemical characteristics and electronic characteristics of electron donors influenced theisotacticity of the polymer. Compared with imported electron donor, the domestic products used in thisresearch exposed advantage in reaction conditions, material consumption, product quality and other aspectsto a certain extent.White oil does not directly participate in the polymerization reaction, as it is the supportof catalyst and electronic donor. For white oil, the dispersibility to catalyst as well as impurity sharplyinfluenced the stability of polymerzation process. Compared to Italian white oil, the American productused in this research exposed negative effect on reaction stability of loop tubular reaction to a certainextent. Thus, we suggested using the Italian product.The property of catalyst by itself, such as chemical structure, concentration and amount, stronglyeffect the catalysis performance as well as the quality of polymerization product. In this research, someinfluences of polymerzation reaction was compared and analyzed, such as catalysts type, propylene purity,reaction temperature, reaction time, and the impurity content of the raw material. Therefor, many analysisdata are accumulated for further optimization production of plant.
