Coal rock compound high level of no transportation dump of Heidaigou Open-pitMine has a total height of68to75,composite step of the overall slope angle for an averageof70degrees. Although it belongs to the temporary slope. However, due to the high degree,steep gradient, it has been a serious threat to the workers and equipment under the benchand the steps. Based on the theoretical study of slope stability in open pit mine, accordingto the current situation of the production process in Heidaigou opencast coal mine, studyon slope stability of the high step, and analyzes the slope monitoring radar early safetywarning system.According to the characteristics of the existing mine production process and high stepslope, this paper analyzes the main factors that affect the stability of the high level. Thekey factors that affect the stability of the high level is vibration of blasting, rainfall andcoal mining operations under the high step level. The paper Use the limit equilibriummethod and strength reduction method to simulate the section stability. The result safetyfactor of the two methods is close, so it’s right to calculate. The results show that the safetycoefficient of temporary slope is within the range of safety factor specified by the state.But the two profiles have potential slip surfaces, especially the west wall area. It couldhappen wall caving. Analysis stability of the bench slope under dynamic load, it could befound, Because of seismic wave effect, high step slope stability safety factor will bereduced to below1.0at the moment. Although this will not lead to the collapse of slope,but the influence of seismic wave on high order stability is very significant. Therefore, themines usually in blasting operations must use the controlled blasting and reduce theinfluence of blasting seismic wave, to ensure the safe production of mines. The safetyfactor of the different rock steps is compared. It is found that the height of the slope inmine production is close to the critical value, if any higher level height will greatly reducethe step stability, so we can consider to reduce the step height to ensure the stability of thehigh level. Heidaigou Open-pit Coal Mine Using SSR slope monitoring radar can be real-time monitoring of slope surface displacement rate. According to the monitoringprinciple of slope monitoring radar, people can analys rock mass deformation and makeforecast and early warning. These can effectively prevent the slope accident. Through thefield experience and monitor examples to illustrate the advanced and feasibility of themonitoring system.According to the results of Heidaigou Open-pit coal mine slope stability calculationand evaluation, some suggestions for improving the stability of the slope are presented inthis paper, such as to establish complete and perfect drainage system, use the controlledblasting, reducing the influence of blasting seismic wave to high bench slope, setreasonable parameters of early warning, to make more accurate monitoring by the slopemonitoring radar. Finally according to the content of this paper made a summary, putforward some shortcomings, and hope that the high bench slope research scholars to dofurther in-depth study.
