The rationality of the design of electric spindle unit structure, thermal properties anddynamic characteristics heavily determines the processing capacity of nc machine tool,it’s also an important factor that affect the machining accuracy of machine tools.Studying the hot state characteristics of electric spindle has the extremely vitalsignificance for the manufacturing performance of the machine tool. By analyzing therunning bearing Hertz contact, this article confirmed the main load of rolling bearingsand puts forward the condition of ignoring the gyroscopic moment. In order to providefollow-up harmonic response analysis and thermal analysis data and theory,we obtainthe six order modal of motorized spindle.Through the harmonic response analysis,obtain the critical resonance frequency of the spindle By determining thermal load andboundary conditions for the thermal analysis, establish finite element model of thespindle.After above, we do the steady state thermal analysis and thermal structurecoupling analysis by finite element software. Obtaining temperature change andtemperature field distribution, and the thermal deformation and thermal stressdistribution of motorized spindle to study the influence of the temperature on electricspindle performance, and put forward the way to improve hot state characteristics ofmotorized spindle. When thermal structure coupling was carried out, taking thermalanalysis results of the ANSYS as the initial load and coupling structural load ofmotorized spindle do the analysis that obtained the stress and strain distributionnephogram of the electric spindle and maximum deformation of the spindle.thatprovides theory basis for optimization of motorized spindle.According to the simulation data, based on the principle of improving systemprocessing precision, useing the application of finite element analysis softwareANSYS’s optimization design function,do the structural optimization of milling withhigh-speed motorized spindle. Taking Spindle rigidity as the goal in order to improvethe design parameters for spindle bearing support span between before and after, put ingthe first order natural frequency of vibration modal parameters as checking to do theoptimization design for this type of motorized spindle.
