Study On Coordinated Development Of Processing Trade And Environmental Protection In Qingdao City

As China’s first big trade, processing trade has played an important role ofexpanding foreign trade, promoting industrial structure, expanding social employmentand improving people’s living standard and so on. As a coastal open city in China,Qingdao, fully using its excellent geographical location, rich natural resources andlabor resources advantages, has introduced the capital and technology of developedcountries, and made brilliant achievements in the processing trade, which not only hasincreased its foreign trade volume, and improved its regional economic development,but also has played an irreplaceable role in promoting the international market.However, with the expansion of processing trade and national economy development,the unsustainable production and consumption activities are gradually beyond theenvironment’s bearing capacity, and the environmental pollution are increasinglyserious. Therefore, we should be paying attention to the sustained and rapid economicgrowth of processing trade, at the same time can’t ignore its effect on the naturalenvironment. If the environmental problems can not be solved properly, they will beseverely hampering the sustainable development of economy.This thesis has collected and made an analysis of the domestic and foreign relatedtheories and research status on coordinated development of trade and environment,then summarized the basic theories and methods. From describing Qingdao processingtrade and the current situation of environmental pollution, the thesis introduces its development course and analyzes the necessity of the coordinated development ofprocessing trade and environment protection. Thereafter, it puts forward the concept ofenvironmental economy system coordination degree. With the evaluation ofenvironment-economy system being studied and compared, the paper usessynergetics and relative coordination degree model of regional economy as the base,selecting the indicator data of Qingdao processing trade and environment system totest the changing tendency of processing trade and the environment coordinationdegree in recent years(which is relative to the investigation base period), and also testthe coordination degree and changing tendency of processing trade and environmentsystem on the assumption that the processing trade system order parameter is graduallyincreasing. Eventually, the conclusion is drawn: generally speaking, Qingdaoprocessing trade is well coordinated with the environment protection; the environmentindicators show a good developing trend. But at the same time, there are also someproblems. According to the actual situation of Qingdao, in combination with the resultsof empirical analysis, the thesis proposes the countermeasures to promote thecoordinated development of processing trade and the environment protection.
