Study On The Coordinating Development Between Regional Ecological Environment And Economic Development

The coordinating development of the ecological environment and economy is the important part of the sustainable development theories. In the system of the ecological environment and economy, the ecosystem, the carrier of economic activities, can provide different kinds of natural resources of ecosystem for economic development, while positive economic development can protect the ecological environment. The contradiction between the ecological environment and economy is serious in the region of YuLin, and the weak ecological environment and relatively backward economy restrict the regional sustainable development.Taking the city of YuLin for example, this thesis, according to some principles, establishes the comprehensive assessing quota system of the ecological environment quality and the economic development level, and uses the weighed method of analyzing major factors and the function method of fuzzy subordinating degree to evaluate the quality of the regional ecological environment and the level of economic development. Based on this, the paper constructs a computing model by applying the concept of variation coefficient to study the coordinating degree and the coordinating development degree of the ecological environment and economic development. Additional this paper shows the classification system of coordinating development types and the distinguishing standard, classifies the types of the coordinating development, and analyzes the results. Finally, some measures and suggestions of promoting the coordinating development of the ecological environment and economy are put forward.These research results will provide a scientific basis for the government to make the plans for the regional development, and be much helpful to improve the regional sustainable development.Main conclusions:(1) Constructing the index system for balancing the regional ecological environment and economical development. The index system contains two subsidiary systems, which are quality of regional ecological environment and economic development, thesystem includes 24 factors.(2) Applying the index system for balancing the regional ecological environment and economical development to comprehensively assess YuLin city as well as its districts and counties. The result demonstrates: the YuLin city is in the middle class, and ecological environment has always been becoming worse. While its economy improves steadily.(3) During 1990-2003, the evolution of harmonious level in YuLin city is listed as follow: wonderful level -well level-general level-basic level.(4) During 1990-2003, the trend of harmony for ecological environment and economical development in YuLin city is not optimistic. From being the primary harmony in 1990^ 1995^ 1999-2001, to being the basic line of harmonious range in 2003. Above all the kinds of harmonious level, only in 1990 the development type is economical lag, others are all environmental lag.
