As we all know, the specific surface area of silica particles having a highlyhydrophilic,because of its unique surface structure is covered with a large number ofsilanol groups, the silica particles have a strong polarity, the small particles bychemical aggregates into one structure prone to flocculation tendency, seriouslyaffecting the silica particles dispersed in the polymer, resulting in excessiveconcentration of stress and greatly damaged the performance polymer materials.Therefore, the main application of the silica is to solve how to improve the problem ofsilica powder dispersed in the polymer.The research of the modified silica in the SSBR, by changing the amount andtypes of silane coupling agent modification of silica powder, and then modified silica-filled rubber processing properties, mechanical properties and dynamic mechanicalproperties of other aspects of the research. The results show that: by using a silanecoupling agent modified silica can be reduced to a certain extent, the silica powder ofthe compound Mooney viscosity, improved processability of the rubber, to improvethe physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber, lower the rubbermaterial dynamic storage modulus G’ of and the loss factor of tanδ.Additionally, although the use of a silane coupling agent can improve the silicacompound Mooney viscosity, but as compared with carbon black-filled rubberMooney viscosity is still relatively high, it is necessary to use silica dispersant furtherimprove silica reinforcement material processing performance. In the final chapter ofthis paper, the silane coupling agent KH792and silica dispersant Akiplast ST withtogether filling solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber affect the performanceof silica powder. The results showed that: Akiplast ST silica dispersant can improvethe added rubber scorch time and good to improve the processing properties of rubber,but compared with a silane coupling agent KH792alone, still to some extent, andphysical mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber will decrease.
