The Polyester FDY spin-finishes is kind of additive which can increase polyester-FDY’s quality and it mainly takes effect of lubricant, cohesive, and antistatic propertics in spinning and behind the process. The development of polyester FDY spin-finish is very difficult because of the high speed and high temperature in spinning. So there is a marked disparities in polyester FDY spin-finishes researching between China and some advanced countries. In this part, the analysis processing of spin-finish for polyester FDY is expounded.Firstly, on the base of separation and identification of surfactants, characterize was tested by some chemical analysis and the instrumental analysis, such as1R spectra analysis and HPLC-MS. The preliminary study is carried show that the import spin-finish has anionic surfactant, non-ion surfactant and mineral oil. Respective components of the import spin-finishes were taken a qualitative analysis and a quantitative analysis. On the base of analysis of the import spin-finishes, the structure and properties of the monomer were test and analysis.The reaction condition to monomer of spin-fininshes, which was synthesized by reaction of trimethylolpropane and the mixture of oleic acid and lauric acid, was discussed by orthogonal test based on analysis data of spin-finishes monomer structure with reaction temperature, molar ration of acid to alcohol and reaction. The orthogonal experimental results proved that the proper reaction condition as followed:the amount of catalyst is0.05%, reaction temperature was205~210℃the molar ratio of acid to alcohol n (oleic acid+lauric acid):n (trimethylolpropane) was2.80:1, the reaction time was5.Oh. Then, the synthesis monomers of antistatic, smooth, soft,cohesion, heat and other physical and chemical properties and applications emulsifying properties were tested repeatedly. It is showed that synthesis monomers could meet performance requirements. New FDY polyester spin-finishes was made by added the synthesis monomers as smoothing agent to spin-finishes, by which compare to different chemical properties of import oil samples and test the new spin-finishes formulates. The experiment showed the new generation of improved one-step FDY polyester spin-finishes had no less excellent import’s.3) The new spin-finishes formulation was optimized deeply by compare performance of new spin-finishes with import oil samples in practical application of small-scale tests. Furthermore, the new synthetic spin-finishes was put into large-scale production of the practice, which was achieved good economic benefit and reduce environmental pollution.In this study, the new spin-finishes which was synthesized new monomer by chemical reaction and optimized deeply formulates, reached the international level. Furthermore, the new synthetic spin-finishes was put into a better application. Successful development of new one-step FDY polyester spin-finishes not only saved production cost and reduce the environmental pollution, but also improved the quality of the products and the economic benefit.
