Water environment is an important component of natural environment, includingwater, sediment, biology and microbiology. Microorganism plays a positive role in theenvironmental system of material circulation and the process of energy conversion, thetype, quantity and features are largely affected by the environment pollution.Meanwhile, it will also reflect the degree of environment pollution. In this paper, wecollected the surface waters and the surface sediment samples, which was used toevaluate the quality of water and sediment, in August2012in Jinzhou bay, then weseparated, cultivated and identified the heterotrophic bacteria in the surface sediment, the main conclusions as follow:(1) This research used four aspectsof comprehensive contamination index, organiccontaminationindex, eutrophicationindex and heavy metalcontamination indexto classify analysis comprehensive evaluation of water quality in Jinzhou bay, theanalysis of comprehensive evaluation show that the organic pollution is most serious inJinzhou bay; eutrophication pollution is second and the zinc in heavy metal pollution ismore serious in Jinzhou bay.(2) The cumulative pollution index evaluation to heavy metal pollution in thesurface sediment of Jinzhou bay showed that the strength sequence of the eight kindsof heavy metal pollution was As>Cd>Hg>Zn>Cr>Pb>Cu>Ni. The Hakanson potentialecological risk evaluation showed that the strength sequence of the eight kinds ofheavy metal pollution was Hg> Cd> As> Pb> Cu> Ni> Zn> Cr. Combininganalysis of the two methodsshowed that the main pollution factor in Jinzhou bay wasHg, Cd, As.(3) FromthesedimentisolatedSixhundredand ninty-four strainsofHBC(21genus); thenumber of nitrifying bacteria was the most, the sulfide bacteria was the second, and followed by the number of heterotrophic bacteria, inorganic phosphorus bacteria, organic phosphorus bacteria, iron bacteria and denitrifying bacteria. It showed that thespatial distribution and the number of heterotrophic bacteria and special functionbacteria relatived to the environmental factors.
