Now, in the petrochemical industry, industrial field and daily life, there have a growing number of pressure piping, tanks, rotating equipment, and special equipment and other high risk equipment and facilities. They all have the characteristics of the high accident consequences, so, for these facilities, testing and monitoring means becomes increasingly important. NDT is a collectively of a class detection techniques, which no injury, damage to the tested object. Acoustic emission is a commonly used qualitative or semi-quantitative detection method for non-destructive testing. Acoustic emission technique can detect off-line detection and on-line monitoring facilities, is the important method and the way of inspection.Acoustic emission nondestructive testing equipment renewal also promoted the application of acoustic emission technology. Nowadays testing equipment, especially the scene detection equipment is trying to realize miniaturization, facilitation. Portable USB acoustic emission device is a new type of acoustic emission testing equipment. For the acoustic emission technology and the new equipment, this paper focuses on the following contents: This paper described the principle of acoustic emission testing and the related knowledge of acoustic emission signal, introduced the structure and performance of USBAE acoustic emission equipment. The system designed based on the limitations of existing AE equipment. Development platform used Visual Studio2012development environment, the development of language use C++and C sharp language combination.Using the Fieldcal portable acoustic emission calibration instrument simulation standard acoustic emission source, and testing the accuracy of USB AE acoustic emission detecting system.Through the simulation of leak experiment verify the acoustic emission signal acquisition, data processing and acoustic emission source location and other functions.
