The air pollution of our country is becoming more and more serious, while the soot of thermal power plants which contains a large number of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides is the primary source of air pollution. With the environmental regulations becoming increasingly stringent, the coal-fired power plants is forced to carry through flue gas desulfurization and install denitration devices by the government. The atomizers are usually used in the procedure of desulfurization and denitrification. The gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle has been widely used, because it has superior performance. This paper will research the jet atomization mechanism of gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle by three methods which include analysis of theory, numerical simulation and experimental study. At last, the research result is applied to practical engineering.The theoretical analysis mainly introduces atomization mechanism of gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle, and establishes the control equations of mathematical model, turbulence model and component transport equations. Discrete the control equation and solve it by staggered grid and SIMPLE algorithm.In the aspect of numerical simulation, the paper briefly introduces CFD software and its application, mainly describes the establishment and meshing of geometry model, determines the initial and boundary conditions, and sets the related parameters. We obtain the effects of nozzle structure parameter and operating parameter on the size distribution of droplets diameter by the numerical simulation of the internal and external field of flow.The aspect of experimental study introduces the experimental bench, two phase flow nozzle and the coordinate system of measurement. We conclude the effects of throttle pipe, gas control block and gas guide block on atomization by the analysis and summarization of several experimental results. The gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle is applied into the actual project by the basis of the above research work, and is combined with other industrial equipment or control system to meet the technical requirements and save the consumption of water. Thus, the corporation reduces the cost, and it has a strong practical significance.Finally, the paper concludes the research of jet atomization mechanism on gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle. The conclusions provide some references for the research of the gas-liquid two phase flow nozzle. We look into the distance about how to ameliorate the shortcomings of the research, and hope that the future research will supplement and perfect it.
