A New National Standard Method On Testing Trace Helium In Neon

As the rise of the modern microelectronics industry,it had lead to the rapid development of the gas industry. Inert gas is more widely applied as its’unique properties.Neon as its low prodution,the cost is relatively high,and it is used only in some special instruments,electric light source,low temperature research and the preparation of deep-sea diving breathing gas fields.With the continuous development of the modern microelectronics industry,the requirements of the market for high purity neon has increased up to99.999%. At present,in our country the standard of neon is only GB/T17873-1999《Pure Neon》, provisions of the neon purity up to99.995%,Therefore,we had proposed amendments application of GB/T17873-1999,to catch up with the internetional standard of neon,and establish the corresponding detection method at the same time. National Standardization Management Committee issued a revised plan No20102129-T-606in2010. According to the high purity neon national standards revision requirements,we had done the experiments about the detection of trace helium of high pure neon. The problem of testing neon has been solved, which will further enhance the competitiveness of China’s neon products in the international market.There are mainly two aspects about the study.First,we have studyed the instrument parameters and operating conditions,and their impact on the peak to determine the analytical conditions, four factors which are bridge current, oven temperature、oven flow and carrier gas have been discussed. Bridge current has the most significant influence from all, it is proportional to detector sensitivity; the influence of carrier gas pressure is the most complicated, on the one hand,it has influence on the separation of chromatographic peak, on the other hand, the peak area has also been impacted; oven temperature has little effect on the peak area; carrier gas will also have an influence on peak signal,it should not be ignored. The final experimental conditions for the column temperature is40℃, detector temperature is80℃, detector current bridge is140mA, flow rate of carrier gas is70ml/min. GC-14C gas chromatography as neon for the carrier gas was used, the column is a60-80mesh5A molecular sieve,we calculated the equation of helium content in neon,the method for testing helium was established which is feasible, and it adopted by the new GB of neonIn this paper, we also used Varian GC-450gas chromatography to test the plasticizer(PAEs) in the spirit.Using benzyl benzoate as internal standard, dimethyl phthalate(DMP), diethyl phthalate(DEP), dibutyl phthalate(DBP)as standard substance, erguotou liquor as samples.and the result shows there is none plasticizer in it. Experimental conditions:injector temperature is270℃, temperature detector is300℃, carrier gas flow rate1ml/min, split ratio100, Oven initial temperature is60℃, maintainl min, as20℃/min up to270℃, chromatographic column using OV-1701capillary column.It was good to take the experimental conditions above for testing several plasticizers, and internal standard substance is stable,more rapid analysis speed,it was meaningful for reference.
