With the continuous development of computer technology andgeographic information system, especially with the rapid development ofcomputer network technology, computer science and geographic informationhave become more and more close. The emergence of WebGIS is the productof the fusion. With the widely application of traditional CGI, API Server, JavaApplet etc., its disadvantages are more obvious, namely, the speed of datatransmission network can’t meet the people’s needsof instant maps. Thereason is that the working principle of the traditional WebGIS is generatedimages in real time.With the emergence of Google Earth, map tile pyramid model alsogradually known by people. It is to configure a good map cut figure accordingto certain rules, stored in the database server. It can use pictures instead of adynamic map service, so that it has dramatically improved the speed of thewhole system, in that case, the user experience effect is obviously enhanced.At the same time, with the advent of AJAX technology, its application in thebrowser client make the user experience of asynchronous data transmissionmore apparent. So the WebGIS system based on tile map arises at the historicmoment.China is a country with frequent geological disasters, especiallybecause of the mine development.Every year the disaster causes heavy lossesto the country and the people. Therefore, monitoring of major hazards inmines is particularly urgent and important.Because of not having intuitiveview of mining geology on the map, the traditional mine monitoring system isalso unable todisplay the hazards of the embedded monitoring instrument ofmonitoring data by clicking on a certain hazards. So the application of tilemap technology onto the mine hazards monitoring system will maketraditional monitoring system increase the map sensory experience.This paper mainly introduces the basic principle of WebGIS, Ajaxtechnology, and tile map technology. It gives an overall research and designto the major hazards management system and some of the modules. Mainwork is: firstly, an introduction of the concept ofWebGIS and its basic principle; secondly,an description of the tiled map service and its differencefrom traditional WebGIS service, and also the map cache service, theadvantages and disadvantages of Ajax technology and the necessity ofWebGIS system. Thirdly, the hazard management structure system design,including the background, target, principle and function.And then the designof each module in detail, and a detailed analysis to the realization of thefunction of part code and instructions, including SSH three layer model of thepresentation layer, business logic layer and data access layer in detail. Finally,the system function practice on the client, including adding hazards on themap coordinates, displaying hazards monitoring data information, checkingdaily monitoring information management, dangerous, which all show theeffect of its implementation.
