With the occurrence of heavy losses accidents were caused by poison gas leakage anddiffusion at home and abroad, people realized that raise the level of human security is apriority. In order to grasp the gas leak diffusion process, improve early warning, riskmanagement and emergency management capabilities, study the poison gas leakage anddiffusion and warning method is particularly important.This article focuses on how to achieve a3D simulation of gas leakage and diffusion andwarning functions based on Open Scene Graph (referred to as OSG) platform.Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages of OSG, combining features of gas leak anddiffusion, introduce the generated principle and contain modules of OSG particle system, andthe process of simulation a poison gas leak and diffuse. By comparing the advantages anddisadvantages of conventional gas leakage and diffusion model, this paper uses the Gaussianmodel calculates the concentration of poison gas leakage and diffusion processes. Andconstruct a three-dimensional virtual scene poison gas leakage and diffusion through thevirtual reality technology.Secondly, the areas of poison gas were divided into lethal area, injured area, minor area,safe area, and the dividing line between the two toxicity values for each area as an earlywarning threshold, early warning, and emergency communications, emergency response,emergency plans and other emergency management.Finally, together to achieve the3D simulation process of OSG simulate poison gas leakand diffusion, early warning, emergency management and other functions, through VS2008MFC. Contribute to safety managers to simulation exercises, training and evacuation.
