With the development of the automotive industry, the global demand of carsincreases year by year, the problem of environment pollution get worse with theincrease of cars. As people’s emphasis on environmental protection, energyconservation and emission reduction has become a national strategy, making the autoindustry technological innovation as a hot topic, and reducing the tire rolling resistanceis one of important aspects. A lower rolling resistance not only reduce the fuelconsumption, but decrease the automobile exhaust emissions, which in accord with therequirement of energy conservation and emissions reduction. This paper studied the effect of different types of rubber and different amounts ofcarbon black on mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties ofvulcanized rubber, and a basic formula was confirmed. On this basis, our studies aremainly focused on the CB-Silica hybrid filler reinforcing system for filling reinforcedmechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber, modification of Silica by different silane coupling agents under different modificationconditions, the material’s performance by dynamic mechanical analysis(RPA,DMA)and the correlation with these reduction are also concluded. The experimental results show that vulcanizates show the best mechanicalproperties when the total amount of reinforcing filler reaches50phr. It is worth notingthat star soluble styrene butadiene rubber not only shows good mechanical properties, also show more excellent dynamic mechanical performance; As to the Silica–CBhybrid filler reinforcing system with a total content50phr, when silica content is20,the heat buildup of the rubber is relatively low, Payne effect is small and the tan reached a minimum value at60℃, which is a proof of a minimum rolling resistance.Silica Modified by the solution method, especially modified with silane coupling agentNXT, the bound rubber content is the highest in the vulcanizates, the combination of physical and mechanical performance is the highest, the lowest Payne effectdemonstrates that filler is well dispersed in the rubber, which reduces the extent of theSilica’s reunion, and the combination and contrast of the value of tan at60℃and0℃shows that silica-CB filled SSBR not only reduce the rolling resistance, but improvethe wet performance.
