Pneumatic conveying is a conveying technology that has developed rapidly andlarge-scaledly from20th.In the recent decades,the application fields and depth ofpneumatic conveying technology have developed substantially. Pneumatic conveyingis a typical and important technology in powder conveying. Pneumatic conveyingapplication has a wide prospect in modern continuous conveying like chemicalindustry,metallurgy,grain,food,medicine and port.This paper start from the research oftraditional pneumatic conveying with analyzing the limitation of current neumaticconveying,and use the electric capacitance tomography to monitoring the process ofpneumatic conveying to research the pneumatic conveying process.The paper introduce the background and meaning of the thesis and expound thedevelopment of pneumatic conveying.The basic theories of pneumatic conveying andmethods are represented.Analyzing the the characteristic and limitation of pneumaticconveying.The electric capacitance tomography technology and instrument areintroduced,and analyzing the development and application of ECT.The innovation andnecessity of ECT application in pneumatic conveying are discussed.The paperintroducing the conveying and weighing testing centre of National rubber and tireengineering research centre.The advanced instruments of physicss characteristicstest.The intelligent pneumatic conveying system is introduced detailedly and theexperiment is completed in this system. The ECT fuzzy logic control in pneumaticconveying is researchedAt last, the summing-up of the ECT application in pneumatic conveying ispresented, the prospect of pneumatic conveying visualization and intelligence is put forward.
