Roller bottom furnace is used for steel plate, section steel and wire normalizing, quenching and tempering heat treatment. because of the Roller bottom heat treatment furnace is easy to realize mechanization, automation, as well as its steel products of good quality and high output, the Roller bottom furnace is widely used. As the basic research contents to realize automation control of production process, the model study of the heat treatment production process is of great significance to the development of heat treatment technology.Taking a certain roller hearth bar continuous heat treatment furnace as the main object, The study respectively developed mathematical models based on the ideas of ternary model for the heating, fast cooling, slow cooling process in the heat treatment process. based on the model, the continuous heat treatment process of multilayer bar was simulated. In the modeling procedure, ADI method was used for discretization for the thermal control equation of bar, and the discretization equations were calculated using TDMA algorithm. At the same time, the direct algorithm of fuel quantity in the heat treatment heating period was put forward Based on the ternary model, which provide a reference basis for the fuel supply institution of heat treatment furnace heating system. What is more, a iterative rule was worked out to solving the goal airflow in the case of the outlet temperature of the air cooling process has been set.According to the characteristics of the heat treatment process, different specifications rods were taken as example to simulate the normalizing process based on the established mathematical model, the best fuel consumption, supply air volume, etc.was calculated under different conditions to meet the the process. The air flow in fast cooling section, flue supply in heat section, bar temperature field in furnace, the billet temperature curve, etc, were respectively discussesd with different dimension and different layer number of bar. The calculations results could be used to provide theoretical guidance for practical production.
