The common industrial furnaces in machinery factory can be divided accordingto the process uses into thermal treatment furnace, baking oven, melting furnace, etc.According to the heat source, they can be divided into gas furnace, oil furnace, coalfurnace, electric, ect. According to the structure,the can be divided into chamberfurnace, slot-type furnace, car type oven, pit furnace, walking beam furnace, arrayhearth furnace, continuous furnace, etc. According to the thermal system andoperation mode, they can be divided into constant temperature furnace, discontinuousvariable temperature furnace, and continuous variable temperature furnace, ect.When the temperature doesn’t change with time, it can be counted as a constanttemperature furnace, the temperature in each section is equal, such as chamberfurnace and slot-type furnace. When the temperature change with time, it can becounted as a discontinuous variable temperature furnace, the temperature in eachsection equal, such as car type oven and common heat treatment furnace. When thetemperature doesn’t change with time, and the temperature in each section is differ, itcan be counted as a continuous variable temperature furnace. The main work is to:Combined with practical engineering requirements, design a30meters largemetal structure of gas car-bottom heat treating furnace. The steel is heated to higherthan740~760℃, after the long time heat preservation usually in5~10hours. Andslowly cooled to400~500℃, After cooled baked to obtain globular pearlite, it canreduce the hardness of the workpiece., and the Plasticity and toughness increase.The design of the primary structure of large metal structure of gas car-bottomheat treating furnace can be subdivided into: steel furnace of heat treatment furnace,furnace lining of heat treatment furnace, the trolley and transmission of heat treatmentfurnace, and the mouth, door and lifting gear.We design the sealing device of arge metal structure of gas car-bottom heattreating furnace. Including trolley sealing, door sealing, and the design of largefurnace section design of variable volume sealing device.We also design a set of advanced electrical control system, the system was madeup to the detection unit and the control unit. The detecing includes temperaturesensing, pressure sensing, flame detection, traffic detection and motion in placedetection. the control unit includes a temperature control system, combustion controlsystems, pressure control systems, fault alarm and power control systems. This thesis provide theoretical basis for the research and design of the largecar-bottom gas heat treating furnace. And it presented a viable option for thedifficulites of energy saving and controlling.
