As a kind of short process that near-net shape, the requirement of the society is met by strip casting to the industry of steel producing. The advantage beyond the traditional process is possessed by strip casting. The important position in the area of strip-steel producing will be occupied in the future by strip casting. Therefore, the research on continuous strip has the great application value and realistic guiding significance.Some phenomenon during two-roll strip casting (i.e. the distribution state of streams in flow-field) is hard to be detected and observed directly by the test. The flow-field in molten pool during strip casting and the effect factors are researched systematically. The major job and research results are present below:The3-D molds of the flow-field are established by UG during strip casting, the operation of mesh division to the molds is made by ICEM software, the encryption process is made to several parts of the molds, which would make the simulation results more reliable.The boundary condition is loaded by ANSYS CFX software, the numerical calculation is executed and the results are present, the detailed analysis is made to the distribution and flowing state is made and the conclusion is given on the washing effect and the surface turbulence are given.The systematic simulation and analysis of the effect factors on the flow-field during two-roll strip casting is made. The results show that the washed position on the roller-surface is descent and the washing strength is increased as the angle increased. Meanwhile the surface turbulence is decreased as the increase of the angle. The washing strength and the surface turbulence are increased as the rollers increase. The great change of the construction of the flow-field is made as the depth of nozzles increases, meanwhile the surface turbulence decrease. Great importance is made to the structure of the flow field and surface turbulence by the existence of the nozzle in the end position.
