MgO-C brick is a kind of good thermal shock resistance and strong resistance toslag alkaline composite material, widely used in the converter lining and ladle slagline and some refining furnace lining, has obtained the remarkable use of results.According to the high pure aluminium killed steel, GCr15steel smelting,consider slag melting point, the desulfurization level, to meet the requirements ofdesulfurization. Range for these two kinds of special steel refining slag components,preparation of4kinds of synthetic slag basicity, alkalinity R are respectively1.8,2.5,3.5,2.5, is based on the silicon powder, lime, magnesia and88bauxite as main rawmaterials, synthetic slag in certain proportion, for different kinds of magnesiumcarbon brick and the erosion of corundum brick, by XRD analysis and microscopicanalysis, the following conclusions:.1,4kinds of synthetic slag in1500℃after processing according to thethermodynamic equation, the gibbs free energy of C2S most hours, synthetic slagpulverization will happen.2, with the increase of content of MgO style and the decrease of carbon content,magnesia carbon brick thermal expansion rate increased.3, pulverized slag erosion of corundum brick, under high temperature, slaggenerated in the C2S, will react with the alumina substrate to produce the melilite(C2AS), also produces magnesium rhodonite (C2MS2) low melting point material, sothe slag pulverization will not occur.4, magnesia carbon brick, with the increase of alkalinity, magnesia carbon brickerosion depth showed a trend of increase, the slag erosion resistance performancedegradation.5, for low basicity of the synthetic slag, with the increase of carbon content ofmagnesia carbon brick, slag erosion resistance performance enhancements.Carbon-free corundum brick and low carbon aluminum magnesium carbon brickporosity, slag erosion resistance is poor.6, with the increase of alkalinity, reduce erosion depth of corundum brick,corundum brick erosion resistance performance enhancements.7, high basicity synthetic slag erosion smaller magnesia carbon brick, low-carbonmagnesia carbon brick erosion is bigger.
