ISC is a special kind of heavy oil thermal recovery technology, because it has unique oildisplacement mechanism and technology advantage, it is considered a production method thathas a great potential, because of the complexity of the fire flooding mechanism and formation.It is very difficult to judge accurately and understand reservoir combustion state and theadvance of the fire situation, in order to solve these problems, this paper through analyzingfour aspects, including ISC, oil displacement mechanism, monitoring methods, thecharacteristics of combustion rule and dynamic control.On the basis of investigating the predecessors’ work, through the two aspects of fireflooding indoor experiment and numerical simulation to understand further deepen the ISCcombustion status and oil displacement rule. It is proposed that the combustion of ISCadjusting control measures and the basis of the principle. Fire flooding laboratory experimentsfrom gas combustion index, combustion products, output, temperature field to determine thecombustion state and ISC burning stage; numerical simulation from the vertical and planetemperature profile and cumulative oil production aspects compared to select the optimuminjection-production parameters, finally summarizes the fire flooding oil displacement rule andcontrol measures.Through experiment and numerical simulation of two kinds of research methods,condition monitoring and dynamic adjustment of ISC have some preliminary understanding,some meaningful conclusions are summarized: ISC for crude oil modification effect is obvious,wire along the burning kettle diagonal direction, the temperature profile good stability, theoverall oil recovery effect is good; On heating time, gas injection velocity and fluid speed inreal time adjustment and combination can control the combustion state and fire wirepropulsion; Adjust injection gas well perforating and production Wells exhaust velocity evenlyto promote effective of wire; Boundary permeability mutations severely cut off heat transfer,injection-production timing is very important.
