With the development of Iron and steel industry, corporation and consumer put a more and more precise demand on the quality of thick plate,include better plate figure,higher dimension precision and better cutting edge quality.To cutting out good quality plate, we successively imported in many double side trimming shear to improve the quality of thick plate cutting edge, but there still exist some defects like shear burr,burr be pressed in,edge staggered,link trace and so on. This paper main studies on the impact of knife gap and run slanting to shear quality.This paper introduced the basic structure and characteristic of the double side trimming shear, and then analyzed the force on plate and pinch rollers during cutting and delivering process, The cutting force is analyzed and calculated, the delivering precondition is also discussed.The factors affect the plate cutting quality during cutting and delivering are analyzed, The pinch rollers installation precision,detection and adjustment methods are given, the synchronized control measure between two side shears is given, knife gap calculation and compensation formula, and the method to solve knife gap parallelism deviation are also given out.At last some measures to reduce plate deviation are done, to test and checkout the research results, and analyzed the control capability of plate deviation with minitab.
