The reliability of home-made numerical control machine is the main problems that influence the market credibility and market competitiveness. In recent years, the reliability indexes of CNC machine has greatly improved.At present, China has become the world’s largest machine consumer, also is the world’s largest importer of CNC machine tools. In the past years, CNC machine tools is only used in aviation, automotive industry, now it has become more and more extensive and other manufacturing industry’s necessary equipment, And technology development is also quite fast, amazing. But compared with the advanced world level, home-made numerical control machine’s overall reliability level is still low, And less competitive. Therefore, in order to reduce quantities of importing high-grade CNC machine tools, and improving market share of domestic high-grade C machine tools, According to 《National long-term planning for science and technology development》(2006-2020)’s requirements, set up" high-grade CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment" science and technology major projects, Its contents are based on the high-grade CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment technology major projects implementation plan" that reviewed by the standing committee of state council This article mainly aims at VMC650high-grade numerically-controlled machine tools which is independently researched and manufactured by Shenyang Machine Tool Group for researching. We will mainly from the following several aspects to analyzing.(1) From the angle of reliability function logical relationship, analysis VMC650numerically-controlled machine tool’s electrical system, and establish CNC machine electrical system and its subsystems reliability function logic diagram.(2) Through consulting 《Electronic Equipment Reliability Prediction Manual》 combining with VMC650CNC machine tools electrical system’s actual operation environment, technology level and other factors so as to determine various component’s failure rate. And it then based on the established reliability function logic diagram and reliability basic theory, calculation the electric system of CNC machine tools and its subsystem’s reliability indexes.(3) Make reliability distribution of the CNC machine tools’electrical system and choose hydraulic system and knife library system for reliability distribution. It not only can guide design stages for choosing components, but can guide subsystems electrical diagrams’design. It still can verify the reasonable of existing machine electrical system design.(4) Introduce the method of Monte Carlo simulation based on fault tree and choose knife library system as an example for Monte Carol simulation. Determine the distribution of knife library system failure mode, and simulating system’s reliability indexes.
