In nowadays society, with the high-speed development of the auto industry,energy consumption and environmental pollution problems have become animportant issue to be solved, automotive light-weighting is put forward. Highstrength steel is the critical material of the car, it will be easy to fracture orwrinkling under cold forming condition. It will seriously influence the formingquality. Since the plastic in hot forming get a lot of ascension. At the same time itcan also keep the strength after forming, so it has been widely used in automotivelight-weighting process, and the investigation in the performance of high-strength steel during hot forming process is of great significance.Using cylindrical parts to study the cold forming and hot forming processsimulation by the finite element simulation software ETA/DYNAFORM. Bysetting up the cold and hot forming technology of cylindrical parts finite elementmodel, get the deep drawing performance of cold and hot forming technology.Then make a comparison and analysis of the forming process. Analyze thechange of wall thickness in the process of cold and hot forming cylinder. Finally,analyze cold and hot forming cylinder wall thickness distribution. So we can getthe conclusion about the22MnB5under cold and hot forming deep drawingperformance.By establishing B-pillar under the finite element model to simulate theforming process of cold, and analyzes the forming defects, improving the processparameters to optimize the forming effect. Then establish B-pillar under the finiteelement model to simulate the forming process of hot. Get the forming process ofsheet metal on the distribution of thickness, the stress and the change oftemperature. Analyze the influence of blank holder force, punch velocity, sheetinitial temperature and mold temperature on hot forming process, and determinethe ratio of B-pillar hot forming process parameters. Since both the B-pillar under hot forming of the optimal process parameters and B-pillar under the coldforming were analyzed, so as to verify the superiority of hot forming process.
