The beneficiation recycling of the secondary copper sulfur ore is more difficult thannative copper sulfur ore. With the development of national economy, the status of secondarycopper sulfur ore is becoming important increasingly in copper sulfur resources. This paperfocuses on the secondary flotation separation of copper sulfur ore.Single mineral test, flotation characteristics of chalcocite and pyrite were researched indifferent collectors (sodium n-butylxanthate, Lp-01, NH-03). Artificial mixed mineral test, theinfluence on pyrite floatability about chalcocite was experimented, the selective inhibitioneffect of different suppressant (L3, sodium sulfite, calcium hypochlorite, ferrous sulfate). Theeffect on mixed ore flotation of argillization (kaolin) was studied. Then elimination process toargillization of sodium silicate as dispersant was experimented. The results show that NH-03has the higher selectivity on chalcocite, while it has the strong collecting ability under thecondition of high alkali. Chalcocite has a high activation to pyrite, which can be removed tosome extent by sodium sulfite. Argillization reduce the grade and recovery of flotationconcentrate. The use of sodium silicate can make the deteriorating effect weak.Some priority-mixed floating combined flotation scheme was selected in the actual oretest. On the basis of many times condition test, sodium silicate used as dispersing agent,NH-03used as collectors, lime and sodium sulfite used as composite inhibitors, betterflotation index was obtained. The grade of copper about copper concentrate reached21.16%,its recovery reached80.50%; after desliming, the grade of sulphur about sulfur concentratereached36.18%, its recovery reached61.47%.The mechanism of action between NH-03and chlorite (pyrite), and the inhibitionmechanism between lime and pyrite were researched through infrared spectroscopy.Ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometer was used to measure the pyrite surface adsorptionof NH-03under the condition of different pH. The influence of copper sulfate dosage to pyritesurface adsorption of NH-03, and the influence of sodium sulfite dosage to it after fixingcopper sulfate dosage were tested successively. Tests show that, NH-03in chalcocite surfaceis given priority to with chemical adsorption while which is given priority to with physicaladsorption. CaO makes hydrotropic substance such as Fe(OH)2and Fe(OH)3created on thesurface of pyrite, so pyrite is suppressant. when pH is high, the adsorption of NH-03onchalcocite is greater than pyrite, the use of copper sulfate increases the adsorption of collecting agent on pyrite, but the use of sodium sulfite can weaken the function of coppersulfate.
