Yongping Copper Mine is a large skarn copper mine, high-sulphur associated gold, silver, tungsten and molybdenum. In the early production, mineral separation efficiency is poor, the process is not smooth, and flotation operation is difficult. After the efforts of several generations of workers, the main sorting indicators had significantly improved, but compared with the design specifications, there is still some room for improvement. To address the problem of low recovery of copper, according to scientific research institutions, combined with the nature of Yongping Copper ore, copper and associated gold and silver sulfur comprehensive recovery characteristics and production experience, we need a priority float process to copper ,to make the poor, slow floating copper minerals are fully floated, in conjunction with highly efficient collectors, increase the collector capacity and selectivity to copper. Flotation process in accordance with the principle of early to collect more revenue, reduce the mining cycle, and improve flotation efficiency.In this paper, we studied the influence of efficient copper collector EP, PAC, to copper separation of sulfur, using in the Yongping Copper Mine, under the conditions of different pH values and amount of collector, in three kinds of means ,such as pure mineral flotation tests, practical ore flotation tests and collector adsorption determination, and with the use of butyl xanthate, ethyl xanthate and compared the situation.Pure mineral flotation test results show that, EP, PAC and butyl xanthate, Ethyl xanthate, compared to the ability of copper collector, the flotation of pyrite weak, strong selective; For the above four collectors, chalcopyrite within a wide pH range can be flotated, while at lower pH floatability of pyrite is good, when the pH value is larger than 10, floatability of pyrite present significant downward trend, when the pH value is larger than 12 , pyrite aggrieve a strong inhibition, poor floatability; Collector EP has a strong collector ability in a wide pH value range, When the amount of EP reach 10mg / L, chalcopyrite and pyrite, the largest difference between the recovery rate for 29.44%, indicating good selectivity.Actual ore flotation test results show that, PAC has some advantages in improving the concentrate grade, and EP has some advantages in improving the copper recovery rate, but EP is more suitable for the separation of Cu-S in low-alkali environment, facilitate the integrated recovery of silver minerals , collector to use with the PAC should be less than 5g/t, less tailing pharmaceutical residues can reduce the impact on the environment, to better reflect the economic and environmental benefits. Therefore, the collector EP is more suitable for the separation of Cu-S in Yongping Copper Mine. In the trials of flotation separation, the right collector EP dosage is 15g/t, the most suitable flotation pulp is about pH 8.5 (lime dosage of 1500g / t).
