With the rapid increase of the amount of motor vehicle in our country, the contribution of motor vehicles on air pollution is more and more greatly, especially diesel soot pollutant emissions, the carbon emissions of particulate matter can reach100times more than that of the gasoline engine. Therefore, there is no delay that the study on the removal of soot from the diesel engine.This paper searching on the plasma combined with catalyst for diesel exhaust soot, with sepiolite as catalyst carrier, that storage in our country is abundant and the price is low, which suitable for industrial application. Its unique mesh structure makes it have a large specific surface area and good adsorption properties. This experiment adopt hydrochloric acid pickling change the crystal structure to improve its activity and its principle is to replace the metal ions in the crystal structure with H+, the crystal structure of the catalyst is communicated with each other, larger specific surface area, adsorption and reaction space greater, it provides more chance for soot removal.This paper also studies the effects of discharge voltage and frequency and process parameters on soot removal rate; for in diesel engine exhaust purification of optimum gas velocity were studied; and the pulse voltage, discharge frequency and gas flow rate made orthogonal experiment was conducted to determine the optimal conditions.The experimental results show that voltage and discharge frequency of and soot purification rate shows a rising trend, in a certain range with the increase of pulse.but when the pulse voltage up to30KV, carbon black purification rate of increase becomes no obvious, when discharge frequency up to70Hz, carbon black after purification rate obviously slowed down. The reason is that, the higher the plasma energy, the more violent reaction with the increase of frequency and voltage.This study provided the theoretical basis on the plasma removal of carbon black particles in the diesel engine.. The purification of carbon black particulate matter for diesel engine has certain guiding significance..
