Plasma modification is a kind of sanitary and dry processing method.It has huge market potential and development prospects as it fast,clean,simple process,efficient and unchanged mother nature while modification.In order to make it possible to industrialize the plasma modification of chemical fabrics.The Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge Plasma(APGDP) and its modification technique of fabric become a hot point of research in recent years.For a glow discharge plasma pressure device,the core components is the power source. The design of high-voltage DC power supply using switching power-supply technology is discussed in the paper.It has high efficiency,light weight,can go up,buck,and the output power is high.BUCK converter chooses and adjusts output voltage.High-voltage insulation is implemented using series of two transformers.Voltage doubling levels are reduced by bidirectional double,which also increases the system stability.DSP is the core in the entire power supply system.The driving part is implemented using IR2111/2121 series MOSFET driver.TopSwitch single-chip switch power supply is utilized to produce different DC voltages including +3V,±5V and +15V needed by DSP and the driver part.Bye use of the new power supply,the Voltage-Ampere characteristic of discharge and the preliminary results of PET modification are described.Study on PET(polyethylene terephthalate) fabric surface modification by APGDP is carried to improve its hydrophilic property and dyeing ability.The effects of working gasses,discharge duration and voltage on above performances are examined.The results of textile plasma treatment show that the wet ability,critical surface tension and dyeing saturation were increased considerably.It means that both discharge and modification effect are good,and the APGDP surface modification of PET is very effective,So it simpler in operation and industrial application.
