Because of irregular thickness and bad roof and floor with parting of complex and difficult mining coal seam, carry out mechanized mining difficultly. This paper is based on the engineering background of16128workface in Zhangji coal mine, assess adaptability of fully mechanized mining by Fuzzy Synthetic evaluation of complex seam geologic membership function, construct judgment matrix and determine the evaluation weal conditions. Firstly, establish evaluation factor system, structure and determine theights. Then, calculate fully mechanized process adaptability evaluation value by the formula based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Based on adaptability value of fully mechanized mining technology in Zhangji coal mine, determine the value of6128workface belongs to level2. To discuss machinery selection of16128workface, introduce selection principle of hydraulic powered support and shearer and scraper conveyor, and confirm their type. Study vertical displacement and plastic failure zone in different advance distance of16128workface by FLAC3D numerical modeling, get the change rule of stress displacement field of16128workface. By field measurement,study on hydraulic support of the influence procedure to working resistance, confirm rule of first weighting interval and periodic weighting length of this workface. In one word, study on mining8#coal seam, the success of mining16128workface provide a theoretical basis and technical guidance for mining8#coal seam and western third mining area.
