In recent years, due to new standards for emissions, the environmental tax law andthe increasingly stringent emissions control of the state, enterprises’ old environmentalmanagement means had been unable to meet demand. In addition, the frequentenvironmental pollution accidents has serious harm to the health of surrounding people.With the rapid development of computer technology and the Internet, using the Internetto publish geographical information on the Web has become an inevitable trend of GIStechnology.As a combination product of GIS and the Internet, Web GIS has the advantages ofcross-platform, easy to expand, access to a wide range. Due to the ability to efficientlyhandle geospatial data, by obtaining real time monitoring data and predicting the impactof the discharge of pollutants on the surrounding environment Web GIS can be appliedto the information management of the environmental impact assessment to providebetter management and decision support for management departments.This research took a large state-owned steel enterprise as a study samples,according to the analysis of technical characteristics of Baidu map GIS and predictconditions, studied on the prediction method of air pollution, proposed an algorithmbased on Web GIS and established a multi-point source Gaussian diffusion model tocalculate the concentration of pollutants algorithm. We use the Web GIS coordinatetransformation to realize the combination of GIS and the prediction model, throughselecting the calculated point s of map to calculate air pollution concentrationdistribution. This paper has researched the architecture of atmospheric environmentanalysis and prediction system, discussed the system database table structure in detail,and achieved five functional module of system such as the real-time datamonitoring, historical data query, Web GIS map management, statistical analysis, of airpollution forecast. The system use Baidu map API to achieve the forecast ofatmospheric pollution, and has obtained pollution diffusion distribution on the map, the results indicate that the prediction method has certain prediction effect, and caneffectively help the relevant departments to formulate reasonable environmentalprotection measures.
