As one of the important manufacturing technology, Deep processing technology ismore and more widely applied in various fields, which causes increasingly fierce marketcompetition. Deep processing technology requires not only for increasingly high performance,but also made production customized. Market demand develops towards personalized anddiversified. For One Side, it ask for the enterprises to improve the speed of design andproduction, to enhance their production capabilities, on the other side, it requires variousaspects of product to meet the customer’s demands, to achieve concepts of customer-orienteddesign, production and sales. However, manufacturing production of currently deepprocessing equipment needs long production cycle and high cost. Production equipment is farless than the level of customization. Performance is not comparable with the importedequipment.To solve these problems, modular design is introduced. The modular design canmake deep processing equipment production becomes personalization and diversification.And it can improve their performance and enhance reliability. The modular design of themachine is now in practical use. So, in order to meet customer’s personalized and diversifiedneeds for CNC machine tools. This paper presents a modular technology for CNC deep holeprocessing machine, establishes a modular design system, which not only can enhance thereliability of the machine, but also to improve the design and production’s speed and reduceinput costs. Its implementation is significant for accelerate the market reaction speed andenhance machine reliability.The main contents are as follows: 1. The paper represents an overview of research status and development for CNC machinetools and machine deep modular at domestic and international. Discusses the origin andsignificance of the subject, and main contents of this paper was presented.2. CNC machine tools deep features, functions are described. Module division method andtheory as well as the matching conditions are discussed. Using the product designstructure matrix (DSM) theory as the basis for the module division was proposed and sofor CNC deep hole processing machine’s reasonable.3. In order to store and use module information better, this paper discuss the encodingmethod for CNC deep hole processing machine modules. Encoding uses group technologyto build CNC machine tools deep coding system. The main module and CNC machinetools were deep coding examples demonstrate the coding system is convenient andfeasible.4. Depend on computer, modular design system was designed. The system consists ofmodules of insert, delete, search, a combination of design features such as machine tools,and inventory and price situation. The system is coded by Visual Basic, application UML(Unified Modeling Language, Unified Modeling Language) theory, and Visio, in whichdescribe of the structure and behavior of the system.5. User interface is designed by Visual Basic language. The paper makes a detail descriptionabout how to operate it. Examples of use prove the system’s high performance.
