Key technologies of efficient utilization of Corn gluten meal to develop antioxidativepeptides were granted by the National Science and Technology Pillar Program during the12thFive-year Plan Period (No.2012BAD33B03). Corn gluten meal were used as raw material. Thekey technologies of effects of coin peptides on learing and memory of mice by basic behavioralexperiments, effects of coin peptides on learning and memory of mice by identification ofspatial learning, and growth and development in mice were researched. The main conten asfollows:(1) The technologies of effects of coin peptides on learing and memory of mice by basicbehavioral experiments were studied. Different fractions of corn peptides (CPS) obtained fromhydrolysis, ultrafiltration and vacuum freeze-drying were used as experimental samples, ICRmale mice were experiement subject. Blind end water-maze with test, shuttle box test, andheliophobic test were used as experiment methods, latent time and error time were used asmeasurable indicators. The results showed that, compared with blank group, the learning andmemorizing ability of CPS groups was improved, and low molecule weight CPS-1group hadbetter results.(2) The effects of coin peptides on learning and memory of mice by identification of spatiallearning were researched. Morris waer-maze, eight-arm maze, and plus maze were used fortesting methods, movement path legth and trajectory map were measured in these experiments. The results showed that, movement path legth of CPS groups were shorter, compared with blankgroup, and the differences of movement path legth between CPS-1-L group and the positivecontrol group. It indicated that CPS could significantly improve the learning and memory ofmice, and the low molecule weight had beter results.(3) The growth and development in mice were researched. The average weight, daily feed, and daily water intake of mice were used measured in the test. The results indicated that, thegrowth and development situation of CPS was well, the results were scientific and reliable. CPShad no toxic injury effects on mice. The conclusion provides a theoretical support for theresearch and development of corn biological functional peptides.
