Design And Implementation Ofintelligent Gateway For Mine Internet Of Things

Coal mining industry has a long and rich productive history in China, however, the techniques of mining varies in productivity and the whole mining industry suffers from technical inefficiency. Before the using of internet of things, there were tremendous difficulties induced by the variety of suppliers, equipments, protocols and types of network used in a single colliery, which obstructed the consolidation and convenience of system management. Nowadays, it is possible for us to overcome these difficulties with the assistance of the internet of things technology.To fully exploit the propulsive power of this new technology to mine production, deeper and more practical employment into this specific industry is in great need other than theoretical and literary innovations in concepts.Thiswork studies the intelligent gateway of internet of things which is one of the most essential problems in this areas. The main contents of this work are as follows:1) With fully investigation of the development and background of coal mining industry and internet of things, this paper presents the characteristics of the internet of things of mining industry in a multisource and heterogeneous network.2) Precise and detailed demands of intelligent gateway of internet of things are mined and discussed, based on which the whole framework is designed.3) This work gives detailed design and implementation of the hardware of the system and finishes the PCB design, and the main firmware is designed based on the systematical demand and hardware resources.4) A complete coal mining surveillance system using internet of things is designed and the practical value of our intelligent gateway is verified through this system.The implementation of intelligent gateway of internet of things is a millstone of the practice of internet of things technology in coal mining industry. The new technology ensures actual promotion to the growth of the coal mining production with our intelligent gateway in this project, instead of wandering on conceptions.
