1-(3-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde4was synthesized with cyclization and Vilsmeier reaction using (3-chlorophenyl)hydrazine hydrochloride1and1,1,3,3-tetramethoxypropane2as starting materials. Claisen-Schmidt reaction of4with1-(3-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl) ethanone5afforded substituted arylketenes6.Then1-(3-chlorophenyl)-4-(3-(3-(tri-fluoromethyl)phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-1H-pyrazole7was obtained by cyclization of6with hydrazine hydrate.40novel title compounds(ZJ1~ZJ40) were synthesized with isocyanates7and8and their structures were confirmed by MS and1H NMR. The bioassey showed that the insecticidal activities of all the target products were not higher than the activity of Metaflumizone. The mortality ratio of some compounds against Plutella xylstella were100%at concentration of500mg/L. At500mg/L, the mortality ratio of compound ZJ8against Plutella xylstella was100%, at100mg/L, the mortality ratio was80%, and at20mg/L, the mortality ratio was20%.
