Synthesis, characterization and catalytic activity of18kinds metal complex of rosin-based Schiff base polymer catalysts have been investigated in the present thesis.1. Investigated optimized conditions of synthesis4-aldehyde phenyl methaciylate monomer and hydrazine hydrate4-aldehyde phenyl methacrylate Schiff base monomer. The optimum reaction time of synthesis4-aldehyde phenyl methacrylate monomer is2h, and hydrazine hydrate4-aldehyde phenyl methacrylate Schiff base monomer is0.5h. The products were characterized by IR,NMR,HPLC, liquid chromatography, elemental analysis and etc.2. The elemental analysis of9kinds rosin-based Schiff base polymer carriers showed that the content of N-element was more than0.5%; SEM showed that these rosin-based Schiff base polymer carriers had loose porous structures.3. SEM of18kinds metal complex of rosin-based Schiff base polymer showed that rosin-based Schiff base polymer carriers’structures remaining intact after coordinated with metal ions; ED AX showed that metal ions attached to rosin-based Schiff base polymers.4. It has been investigated for the oxidation reactions of rosin-based Schiff base polymer metal complexes catalyzed fennel oil, styrene, cinnamic aldehyde and pinene by H2O2. P4SCu had best catalytic effect, the conversion rate was up to88%.The main oxidation products of fennel oil were P-methoxybenzaldehyde, P-methoxyphenyl acetone. In the presence of P4SCu, PS3Cu, the conversions of styrene were91%,79%,the main oxidation products were Benzaldehyde, Acetophenone; the conversions of cinnamic aldehyde were93%,92%, the main oxidation products were Benzaldehyde, Phenylacetaldehyde,Acetophenone Benzoic acid:the conversions of a-pinene were84%,95%, the main oxidation products were α-terpineol,hydrated pinene alcohol; the conversions of (3-pinene were87%,90%, the main oxidation products were Pinocarveol, α-terpineol, Myrtle aldehyde, Pinanediol.
