In the production of rubber and other industries, the accuracy of the ingredients isoften the decisive factor for the quality of products, which is produced in accordancewith a specific recipe. For example, in the production of rubber, there are a variety ofsmall materials (complexing agent), but for the master batch as the main ingredient.These materials are often trace amounts, many of which are measured in grams, itsaccuracy directly determines the performance and quality of the product.Existing weighing system is mainly used for ordinary mixer, the weighing ways areintermittent weighing. And now, with advances in the rubber industry, people havecame up with higher requirements for automation, continuous, low energyconsumption and higher efficiency of mixing. There is growing emphasis oncontinuous rubber compounding technology, the feeding system which is compatiblewith the technology is called a continuous feed systems. The existing batch weighingsystem has been unable to meet the continuity requirement. And people have donelittle research on continuous weighing, lack of the knowledge of weighing mechanism,and no mature technology program.A study on continuous weighing system On this basis has been started in this paper.Through access to a large number of domestic and foreign literature, go deep into thistechnical field, started from the study of material properties, and then investigate thephysical and mathematical models, and then deep into the study of the theory ofcontinuous weighing, and then on the basis of theoretical research. a continuousfeeding weighing system has been designed, and the system has also been simulatedand analyzed, and finally the usefulness of the system was experimentally verified.Concrete work done in this article as follows:(1) Explored the mechanism of continuous weighing theoretically. Started from the physical properties of materials, researched the mathematical model of materialparticles’ size and shape, constructed the physical model of powder’s liquidity andaccumulation, explored the mechanism of continuous weighing, and error analysis.(2) On the basis of theoretical studies, discussed a continuous weighing solution. Asfor the laboratory existing equipment and the using needs, designed a small,economical and practical up stream equipment system. For three-dimensionalmodeling, engineering papers drawings, processing, installation and commissioning.(3) Use the finite element software, did simulation analysis for the key componentsof the designed auxiliary system, optimized design; To verify the transportation stirringeffect, used discrete element software for the simulation study of powder’s deliveryand feeding process.(4) Design experiments to explore the availability and accuracy of the continuousfeeding weighing system, verified the accuracy and error magnitude of tapemeasurement by experiment. Verified the accuracy and uniformity of the small feed’sfeeding rate that output from the system. Tested performance of the mix refined fromthe continuous mixer with this auxiliary systems.
