The pollution of ketones is a serious environmental problem. The adsorption is a widely used method to eliminate VOCs. The widely used adsorption materials are active carbon. But it is flammable and explosive during adsorping. And it is not adapt to the treatment of complex and changeable industrial waste gas. So ketones adsorption property of Y zeolite and resin were investigated.Cyclohexanone adsorption property of Y zeolite was investigated by using the commercial Y zeolite with different Si/Al ratios. The results show that the microspores and surface area of Y zeolite decrease with the increase of Si/Al ratio of the Y zeolite, but secondary pores or mesoporous structures are formed. It was found that the ability of selective adsorption for cyclohexanone is enhanced with the increase of Si content in the zeolite framework.The amount of cyclohexanone adsorbed raised first and then fell with adsorption temperature rising. Acetone and butanone adsorption property of Y zeolite were good.We used the Thermal Analysis (TG) to study the desorption efficiency of cyclohexanone on Y zeolite, the result showed that heating desorption efficiency is bad. Microwave regeneration technology was recognized as a high-efficiency and energy-saving regeneration technology. The desorption efficiency of cyclohexanone, butanone, acetone onto Y zeolites under microwave irradiation was studied. The desorption experiments were carried out on a new type of effective Y-zeolite adsorption/desorption microwave heating system developed in this work. The results show that the high desorption efficiency above90%can be achieved on Y-zeolite within10minutes.Studying adsorption capacity of cyclohexanone by multiple resins found:DA201-C and H-107with large surface area, pore volume and smaller aperture, showing the best adsorption ability of cyclohexanone, saturated adsorption capacity were0.4176g/g and0.4386g/g,2-4times that of other resin. The vacuum desorption effect signifieantly better than hot stripping. H-107with large aperture, the desorption effect is better than that of DA201-C. As temperatures rising, and to improve the desorption efficiency. In the process of repeated adsorption, after four cycles, still resins have good adsorption efficiency, saturated adsorption amount still can reach more than80%of the original adsorption quantity.
