With the required characteristic data With the development of the society and theascension of economic level, clothing concept for middle-aged and old women also hasgradually changed.The requirement of clothes to them will be higher. Because of therelatively particularity in their body type for this group, body-conforming fitted function hasbecome an important factor taken into consideration.And it is very important to graspaccurately the human body to improve of body-conforming fitted function of the garment.This paper takes analysis of the body type of middle-aged and old women, from the wholeand partial morphological analysis. According to the characters of sample shape, extract themain control variable to conduct size classification, and at the same time,take a detailedanalysis to several significant area of the body shape. The specific content is as follows:1,With Germany VITUS the SMART XXL non-contact three-dimensional bodyscanning system combined with Martin measuring instrument and weight measurementinstrument,this paper makes217random50-75years old,middle-aged and old female in theareas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang measured to achieve the size and weight data needed for thegarment.With the required characteristic data of the elderly,the paper make use of SPSSstatistics system to analysis. Through descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and linearregression analysis method to gain the difference between the variables, intermediate, andtheir correlation, etc.2, The chest, back, and the main girth of torso of middle-aged and old women areconducted a detailed analysis. Analysis of chest takes use of derived variables,such as curldegree parameters, chest cross ratio vector parameter,chest relative height parameters andbust height ratio.The chest specific characteristics are discussed from the micro angle;Analysis of back put forward this variable---the horizontal distance from seventh cervicalvertebra to scapular,to describe the hunchback degree of human body and study back form oftested groups; Analysis of the main girth of torso show their linear relationship between eachgirth of torso.3, Principal component analysis was carried out on the measured data, and it isconcluded the five components related to the body type of middle-aged and old women: bodytorso factor, highly factor, length factor, leg factor and shoulder factor. According to thecontribution of the characteristics of index, correlation coefficient is used to determine themain control variables: bust, waist, abdomen,hip circumference, height.4, Clustering analysis: With k-means clustering and fuzzy c mean clusteringalgorithms,the paper makes use of SPSS statistics system and mathematical software matlabto analyze the bodily form feature of the elderly,according to the five variables:chest, waist, abdomen, hip circumference and height;And conduct clustering analysis with differencevalue between the chest and the abdomen circumference combined with difference valuebetween hip and abdomen circumference,draw a shape classification A (A~F)/a (a~f),afterexcluding, finally get17kinds of size classification: A/f,B/e,C/c,D/c,D/d, E/a and soon.The research provides a reference for the elderly clothing production in the region.This article has a research of the body type of middle-aged and old women from jiangsuand zhejiang area to further enrich size database from different regions and supple theresearch content of size,and it provides theoretical basis for practical application, a referencefor garment production in the process of clothing design, and a guidance for clothing marketallocation.
