Waterproof and breathable fabrics have wide market prospect, which are functionalprotective fabrics with waterproof and moisture permeability properties. PTFE laminatedfabric has good performance among traditional waterproof and breathable fabrics. However, this kind of fabrics has complex production process, high cost. In addition, PTFE has poorelasticity and it is non-biodegradable.Electrospinning technique was used in this paper to prepare PU electrospinningmembranes which possess excellent flexibility and high porosity. Then, in order to improvethe waterproof of membrane, PTFE was deposited on the surface of membrane by magnetronsputtering equipment. Finally, this membrane was composited with polyester high-densityfabric and a novel fabric was prepared with excellent waterproof and moisture permeableperformance.Polyester high-density fabric was employed as the fabric layer of laminated fabric andthe waterproof properties of the fabrics were investigated.24kinds of woven fabrics withdifferent pore structure were tested, the method of linear regression was adopted to discuss therelationship between water pressure resistance and contact angle, yarn diameter, pore size, calculate the influence of various factors on the resistance to water pressure. Differentshrinkage polyester woven composite filament woven fabric was employed to investigate themoisture permeability. Through testing pore size distribution mapping under differentprocessing temperature, constructing the theoretical relationship between pore sizedistribution and moisture transmission, this theory was applied in the selection of fabriclayers.Aperture instrument, SEM and so on were employed to analyze the relationshipbetween electrospinning parameters, such as voltage, distance, feeding rate and pore structureof membranes, and the best preparation technology of PU electrospinning film was achieved.Secondly, in order to further improve the hydrophobicity of PU electrospinning membrane, magnetron sputtering technology was adopted to sputter PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) onthe surface of PU electrospinning membrane. The relationship between sputtering parameters, such as time, pressure, power, distance and the morphology and contact angle of PUelectrospinning membrane was studied Finally, the best sputtering process and PUelectrospinning film with the best hydrophobic effect were achieved. The influence of adhesive types, ways of glue, glue quantity on the waterproof, permeability and peeling strength of PU electrospinning film was investigated and the optimaltechnological parameter was achieved.Experimental results showed that the fabric layer, the pore diameter and contact angle produced the greatest effect on the resistance to water pressure. The larger pore sizedistribution of the integral area of fabric layer, the greater permeability. The resistance towater pressure of8.5kPa and moisture transmission of7038g/(m2·24h) were selected in thefabric layer; The static contact angle increased from121°to153°after sputtering PTFE onmembrane surface.3M company’s production of aerosol was used to fabric composite film, when the gluing quantity was35g/m2, film and fabric could not be completely peeled, andcomposite laminated fabric had31kPa of water pressure resistance and5302g/(m2·24h) ofmoisture transmission.
