Being a big agriculture country, large quantities of waste came into being every year, most of which were burnt or embedded resulting in the environment pollution and resource wasting. To provide a better way to deal with those potential resources, a kind of compositer material made from waste peanut hull powder and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) was selected to be the object in this article and the process of manufacturing the composite which could be used as filling material was optimized. In addition, coupling agent was adopted to improve the interfacial compatibility, and flame retardant and antibacterial agent were added to endow the composite with flame retardancy and antibacterial property.Single factor experiment was adopted to determine the kind and the dosage of the coupling agent. The results showed that when the peanut hull powder was soaked by1.5%silane coupling agent with anhydrous ethanol as organic solvent and liquor ratio1:15for12hours and then baked, the composite possessed the best mechanical properties. As the proportion of peanut hull powder increased, the tensile strength and bending strength increased first and then declined, while the impact absorption declined gradually. The results also showed that with the increasing of the hot pressing temperature, the mechanic properties of composite increased first then declined, so it is with the hot pressing time and hot pressing pressure. Finally, the optimum condition was concluded by orthogonal test, namely, proportion of peanut hull powder60%, hot pressing temperature170℃, hot pressing time5min, hot pressing pressure12MPa. And under such circumstances, the tensile strength of composite was19.63MPa, the bending strength was25.74MPa, and the impact absorption reached1.33J/cm2.Response surface analysis was adopted to optimize the parameters that affected the flame retardant property of composite. The regression equation about the LOI (limited oxygen index) and the main effect parameters (including the proportion of peanut hull powder and the proportion of APP (ammonium polyphosphate) and the proportion of TPU flame retardant (RHTPU-015)) was concluded. And the parameters were optimized as following, the proportion of peanut hull powder49.5%, the proportion of APP4.4%and the proportion of TPU flame retardant14.2%, and under the circumstance of hot pressing temperature170℃, hot pressing time5min, hot pressing pressure12MPa, the LOI was32.78%. In addition, when added3%antibacterial agent, the LOI was32.7%, the bacteriostasis rate of escherichia coli was96.98%, the bacteriostasis rate of staphylococcus aureus was96.03%, and the bacteriostasis rate of salmonella was92.33%.
