On The Pros And Cons Of Traditional Chinese Style Furniture In Contemporary Household

China is an ancient country with five thousand years of history and culture。Of the numerous treasures in the long history, traditional Chinese furniture is one of them. With its fine shape and rich cultural heritage, it is very popular among all the consumers both at home and abroad. As for the application and development of traditional Chinese furniture, it has both advantages and disadvantages which has great impact on the future. This thesis tries to make an in-dept analysis on its pros and cons in five parts.The first part is the introduction on the background information, the purpose of the study and the significance of the thesis. It also discussed the cultural heritage and its popularity in market. The second part is the detailed analysis of its advantages and disadvantages in practical application from the aspects of furniture materials, the environmental impact of furniture, the transportation and price which paves the way of the later analysis. The third part is the discussion of how to maximize its advantages, which are illustrated from the point of family, systematic and artistry on furniture, material and the owners’hobby. It makes clear of the contributions of traditional Chinese furniture in modern household. The fourth part analyzes how to avoid drawbacks of traditional Chinese furniture in modern household. The fifth part is the development conception in which it provides some suggestions and countermeasures for promoting the development of our traditional Chinese style furniture. The last part is conclusion and summary of the thesis.In summary, with the analysis on the pros and cons of the traditional Chinese style furniture it attempts to make some contributions to the better application and further development of our traditional Chinese style furniture.
